The European Commission has approved the extension of the project for five more months (until the end of April 2016).
So far all the members of EMPODAT have been doing a great job but there is still more work to be done in the months to come.
Some of our partners have to complete their academic activities. Another important item that has to be completed by the end of the program is the accreditation process. Each ENPI university needs to be able to certify their students by the end of the project.
Moreover the project needs to be further disseminated and once we have all the results a scientific article will be written and published.
The good news does not stop here. We are delighted to announce everyone that the final meeting along with the networking event and the mass media conference are going to take place in Egypt, in March 4 – 7, 2016.
Our partners from Mansoura will ensure a well-organized, productive and memorable meeting on the Nile. They are working hard on preparing a detailed agenda in which one of the most important items will be the future planning. Besides exchanging project experiences and summarizing results, the project partners will be discussing ways to continue their collaboration. In this regard representatives from international forums and associations will be also invited to ensure their support for the European-Mediterranean consulting network to be created. This network will include universities and other allied institutions, regional, national and international bodies in Organ Donation and Transplantation to ensure the continuity and transferability of EMPODaT.
What an excellent way to wrap up this successful project!
